Product #3 - Trays, by Krisna Husada

Krisna was a poor entrepreneur that started a business and has expanded through the assistance of micro finance. He was interested to join with Bali Artisans Association to expand his market target since his products are currently for the local market. He runs this business with 30 full time employees. That means expanding his market will enable him to bring impact for 120 beneficiaries.

Bali Artisans is a part of Wahana Kria Putri. Wahana Kria Putri (WKP) foundation was founded on May 21, 1996 in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia by two indigenous women with the purpose of serving the grassroots Indonesian community, specially focusing on women.

The WKP strategy is to empower the women in the community by skills improvement through training. The impoverished people of Bali cannot access credit from formal banks an d most of them run to the moneylender and loan shark. With it's prudence, WKP as a non-profit organization serves and fills this credit gap by giving loans to help the poor start and expand their small business.
